Hello , Welcome to our web site: Bajatortuga.com . We are Kim and Cyndy Garvin. A couple of years ago we went with my brother Chuck and his wife Dianne to visit Los Barriles , Mexico .They had bought property there a year or so before . It had crossed our mind about buying , but everything seemed to be out of our price range . It was a bit of a shock what lots were going for . So We forgot about it and got on with vacation .
Dianne had arranged the rental of an awesome house right on the beach. Casa Baker. From excitement or what I don't know, we awoke before sunrise every morning.
This was a blessing as we got to enjoy every beautiful sunrise Los Barriles had to offer. Los Barriles has some to offer !
Runs on the beach and around town gave us an idea of the layout of the town and surrounding area. So the week passed. Always to fast when you are on vacation! You know how it is !
It was the day before our departure . We had been walking past a realty all week that was advertising 3rd. acre lots for 19,000 u.s.d. Hmmmm...." Let's check it out". I said . "O.k." . Cyndy agreed .
Well , my friends the rest is history (in the making) ! Oh , we have a lot but it is a never ending story.
We started out with a travel trailer for our first place . The thought being that we would fly in . We drove it down and set it up on our lot in May of 2006 . The prospect of not having to pull a trailer down highway 1 again didn't break my heart.
We had the trailer in place . All was going according to my perfect little plan........
Then , HURRICANE JOHN came to visit ! After a week of waiting , the news came.
Our little home was gone . Well , actually it was still there , but it resembled a pancake !
Long story short , we have another (trailer). It came home with us for hurricane season this year. We are a bit gun (hurricane) shy !
So do you want me to get to the point already ?! I don't have one ! Just kidding . We have had to drive several times to visit our second home . Which has turned out to be a blessing visually and socially .
Bottom line . Baja California is a great experience with many interesting things to see and very warm people to meet . If you haven't traveled there yet and maybe have considered it . Please do. You will not be dissapointed !
