Jose Contreras Torres

Jose is a potter who lives in the Tecate area of Baja California. We met Jose a couple of years ago on our way to Los Barriles. We saw his pot's while we we're driving by on the Tecate-Ensenada highway. We like his unique style and use of colors. So we thought we would give him his own page to showcase his art. See the photos below.

Jose's business is located on the Tecate-Ensenada highway . He is on the left side of the highway just past Km. 15 as you are traveling south of Tecate. There is a nice pullout next to his lot. You will see his beautiful pottery out in front of his place. You might have to give a holler to get his attention. As he might be in his shop up on the little hill or in the house to the left of his gate.
